Política Pirata. Pirate Politics.

Política Pirata. Pirate Politics.

(Santo Agostinho)

O amor antes do poder Love before power
Então o Amor com o poder Then Love with power
Para destruir o Poder sem amor.
To destroy (the) Power without love.

"The Ocean is my church and my playground."

Nossos pensamentos, palavras e ações passam pelas peneiras da VERDADE, da BONDADE e da NECESSIDADE?

"My Girl" - The Temptations

My Girl (The Temptations song)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"My Girl" is a 1964 song recorded by The Temptations for the Gordy (Motown) label which became a number one hit in 1965. Written and produced by The Miracles membersSmokey Robinson and Ronald White, the song became the Temptations' first U.S. number-one single, and is today their signature song. Robinson's inspiration for writing this song was his wife, Miracles member Claudette Rogers Robinson. The song was featured on the Temptations album The Temptations Sing Smokey.
Musically, the song is notable because the six ascending guitar notes in the opening riff over the C chord are a perfect example of a C major pentatonic scale, played exactly from octave to octave. Similarly, the analogous riff in the song that is played over the F chord is a perfect example of an F major pentatonic scale, also with notes ascending from octave to octave.

My Girl
Compositor: Smokey Robinson

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
When it's cold outside
I've got the month of May
I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talking about my girl (my girl)

I've got so much honey
The bees envy me
I've got a sweeter song
Than the birds in the trees

Well I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talking about my girl (my girl)

Ooooh, Hooooo
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
Ooooooooo yeah

I don't need no money fortune or fame
I've got all the riches baby
One man can claim

Well, I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talking about my girl (my girl)

Talking about my girl
I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
With my girl
I've even got the month of may
With my girl

Recording and release[edit]

The recorded version of "My Girl" was the first Temptations single to feature David Ruffin on lead vocals. Previously, Eddie Kendricks and Paul Williams had performed most of the group's lead vocals, and Ruffin had joined the group as a replacement for former Temptation Elbridge "Al" Bryant. While on tour as part of the Motortown Revue, a collective tour for most of the Motown roster, Smokey Robinson caught the Temptations' part of the show. The group had included a medley of soul standards in the show, one of which, The Drifters' "Under the Boardwalk", was a solo spot for Ruffin. Impressed, Robinson decided to produce a single with Ruffin singing lead. Robinson saw Ruffin as a "sleeping giant" in the group with a unique voice that was "mellow" yet "gruff".[1] Robinson thought that if he could write just the perfect song for Ruffin's voice, then he could have a smash hit.[1] The song was to be something that Ruffin could "belt out" yet something that was also "melodic and sweet".[1] After some persuasion from Ruffin's bandmates, Robinson had the Temptations record "My Girl" instead of The Miracles, who were originally to record the song, and recruited Ruffin to sing the lead vocals. According to Robinson, he allowed the group to create their own background vocals "because they were so great at background vocals". The signature guitar riff heard during the introduction and under the verses was played by Robert White of the Funk Brothers. This part can be heard without vocals on the 2004 Deluxe Edition of the soundtrack from the 2002 documentary Standing in the Shadows of Motown.
"My Girl" was later sampled for "Stay", a single from the Temptations' 1998 album Phoenix Rising.
The single was re-released in 1992. It did not reach the Billboard charts, but did reach #2 in the UK Singles Chart.

Reception[edit]

"My Girl" climbed to the top of the U.S. pop charts after its Christmas time 1964 release, making it the Temptations' first number-one hit. The single was also the first number-one hit on the reinstated Billboard R&B Singles chart, which had gone on a fifteen-month hiatus from 1963 to 1965.[2] The success of this single launched a series of Ruffin-led hits, including "It's Growing" (1965), "Since I Lost My Baby" (1965), "My Baby" (1965), "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" (1966), "Beauty Is Only Skin Deep" (1966), "(I Know) I'm Losing You" (1966), "All I Need" (1967), "(Loneliness Made Me Realize) It's You That I Need" (1967), "I Wish It Would Rain" (1967), and "I Could Never Love Another (After Loving You)" (1968). The former background figure quickly became the group's main (and, excepting irregular leads by Kendricks and Williams, only) lead singer by the end of 1965. After many Ruffin-led hits, he started to develop a large ego. He was later fired from the group (see the Temptations main article for more details).
In 2004, "My Girl" was ranked number 88 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".[3]

SÓ PRO MEU PRAZER - HERÓIS DA RESISTÊNCIA

Só Pro Meu Prazer

Leoni

Não fala nada
Deixa tudo assim por mim
Eu não me importo
Se nós não somos bem assim
É tudo real as minhas mentiras
E assim não faz mal
E assim não me faz mal não
Noite e dia se completam
O nosso amor e ódio eterno
Eu te imagino, eu te conserto
Eu faço a cena que eu quiser
Eu tiro a roupa pra você
Não me faz mal
Não me faz mal não
Noite e dia se completam
O nosso amor e ódio eterno
Eu te imagino, eu te conserto
Eu faço a cena que eu quiser
Eu tiro a roupa pra você
Minha maior ficção de amor
Eu te recriei só pro meu prazer
Noite e dia se completam
O nosso amor e ódio eterno
Eu te imagino, eu te conserto
Eu faço a cena que eu quiser
Eu tiro a roupa pra você
Minha maior ficção de amor
Eu te recriei só pro meu prazer
Só pro meu prazer

Marvin Gaye sings American National Anthem

Marvin Gaye (02/04/1939-01/04/1984) canta o Hino Nacional Americano.

1 Crônicas 4.10 "Tomara que me abençoes, e me alargues as fronteiras, e sejam comigo as tuas mãos, e me preserves do mal, de modo que não me sobrevenha aflição".

“Foi Jabez mais ilustre do que seus irmãos; sua mãe chamou-lhe Jabez, dizendo: Porque com dores o dei à luz. Jabez invocou o Deus de Israel, dizendo: Oh! Que me abençoes e me alargues as fronteiras, que seja comigo a tua mão e me preserves do mal, de modo que não me sobrevenha aflição! E Deus lhe concedeu o que lhe tinha pedido”.
1Cr 4:9-10

“Oh!

Maryland - Vonda Shepard

Maryland, Vonda Shepard

I've been thinking
I've been thinking I've been thinking too much
I just want to live now for a little while
And cast my dreams to the wind
Don't wanna wonder
Don't wanna wonder what it's all about
I'm just working for a living singing with my friends
As I cast my dreams to the wind

Maryland, I'm coming home
Never worry about what I did wrong
And that I'll never be what my daddy wanted me to be
And I'll never see what my mama's dreams were
But I will sing
La la la la la la la la...

I wanna fly
I wanna fly down the highway to my home away from home
This funky funky club on Fairfax Avenue to see you
I'll never give up
Because what is there to give up anyway
I'm just working for a living working for my pay
In Maryland it's raining somewhere in some cafe

Maryland, I'm coming home
Never worry about what I did wrong
And that I'll never be what my daddy wanted me to be
And I'll never see what my mama's dreams were
But I can sing
La la la la la la la la...

Darlene Zschech: Hillsong: "How Great Is Our God"

Darlene Zschech

Darlene Joyce Zschech (/dɑrˈln ˈɛk/; born Steinhardt on 8 September 1965 in BrisbaneQueenslandAustralia) is an Australian Pentecostal Christian worship leader and singer-songwriter who primarily writes praise and worship songs. Described as a "pioneer of the modern worship movement",[1] she is the former worship pastor of Hillsong Church and is currently a member of Compassionart, a charity founded by Martin Smith.[2]

Life and career[edit]

Zschech started on television at the age of 10, being a part of an Australian kids' show, Happy Go Round.[3] When she was 13, her parents divorced,[4] and the emotional stress of television and her parents' divorce resulted in Zschech struggling with bulimia at age 14,[5] which she fought for about 4 years.[6]
In 1980, when Zschech was 15, her father rededicated his life to Christ and began taking her to church, where she gave her heart to Christ and met her future husband Mark.[7]Later, when they married, Mark suggested they move from Brisbane to Sydney, which was supernaturally confirmed at a small church where they were visiting one Sunday: the guest speaker said in the middle of his sermon, "This doesn't happen to me very often, but whatever it is you two prayed last night, God says do it now."[8] They began attending Hills Christian Life Centre, which would become Hillsong Church.
Zschech sang jingles for a number of international companies including McDonald'sKFCand Coca Cola,[9] until she eventually came on staff at Hillsong Church after penning "Shout to the Lord."[10] She released a vinyl album in 1987 called "Make the Choice" and a cassette album in 1993 called "Pearls & Gold."[11]
Zschech and her husband Mark had two daughters, Amy and Chloe. In 2000 she had a miscarriage after 12 weeks.[12] The following year, she gave birth to their third child Zoe.
In 2003, Zschech released her first 'official' solo album, Kiss of HeavenChange Your World followed in 2005. She has since released two albums in 2011 called Simply Darlene and You Are Love. In addition to writing songs, Zschech has written four books: Worship(1996), Extravagant Worship (2002), The Kiss of Heaven (2003) and The Great Generational Transition (2009).
On 11 December 2013, Zschech was diagnosed as having breast cancer.[13]

Hillsong Church[edit]

Zschech was the worship pastor of Hillsong Church from 1996 to 2007, during which time she served as either producer, vocal producer, or executive producer for more than 20 albums under the Hillsong Music label[14] and wrote more than 80 published worship songs.[15] Under Zschech's leadership, the album People Just Like Us (1994) was the first Christian album in Australia to go Gold as well as the first to go Platinum[16] and the album For All You've Done (2004) debuted at #1 on the Australian Record Industry Association album charts.[17] Zschech explained Hillsong Music's stance in her book Extravagant Worship in a prayer: "Father, let them quickly get their eyes off of us. We just want to point them to you, God, because you are the Author of truth. You are the only One who is to be praised."[18]
She stepped down as worship pastor in 2007 with the blessing of Hillsong Senior Pastors Brian and Bobbie Houston to become Senior Pastors with her husband of Church Unlimited in Charmhaven,[19] and Reuben Morgan was appointed to the worship pastor position in 2008.

Hope Unlimited Church[edit]

In January 2011, Zschech and her husband became senior pastors at Church Unlimited (later named Hope Unlimited Church) in Charmhaven on the New South Wales central coast.

Hope Global[edit]

In April 2004, the Zschech family visited Rwanda, Africa on a missions trip and were inspired to launch "Hope Rwanda: 100 Days of Hope," a faith-based global initiative that provided hygiene options and education for the citizens of Rwanda, which eventually morphed into Hope Global.[20] According to the official website, Hope Global currently exists to "offer practical solutions to countries devastated by war, genocide, and poverty"[21] and has major centers in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and Cambodia, and now runs long-term development projects, such as Hope Education and the Village of Hope, and has hosted Parramatta Eels trips to Rwanda with CEOPaul Osborne.

Shout to the Lord[edit]

Zschech composed "Shout to the Lord" in 1993 and it has become one of the most famous modern worship songs of all time,[22] being sung by an estimated 25-30 million churchgoers every Sunday since the song's release.[23] She wrote the song during a time of personal struggle,[24] and when she presented it to the then-worship pastor Geoff Bullock, she was so embarrassed she asked him to face away from her as she played it on the piano and sang.[25]
"Shout to the Lord" was first recorded on the album "People Just Like Us" and has appeared on more than a staggering 200 different albums by numerous artists in multiple languages.[26] It is also the title track for the first live album co-produced with Integrity Musicfeaturing Zschech as a worship leader,[27] and Integrity Music's first album to feature a female worship leader. The album was nominated for the 1997 Dove Awards 'Praise & Worship Album of the Year' at the Gospel Music Awards and the song was nominated for the 1998 Dove Awards 'Song of the Year' category.[28] The song has been performed for the Pope at the Vatican and the President of the United States.[29]
On 9 April 2008, "Shout to the Lord" was the closing song on Idol Gives Back, sung by the remaining 8 contestants of American Idoland a gospel choir. The lyrics of the song were altered, changing the word "Jesus" to "Shepherd" in the first line,[30] without the approval of Zschech or Hillsong Church.[31] At the request of the song's publishers, the song was performed again at the opening of the next show the following night, this time using the original lyrics.[32]
On the global impact of "Shout to the Lord," Zschech said, "I can't take any credit for its impact. God decided to put his blessing on this song."[33]
